Ohio State Fair to Feature Heritage Breeds of Poultry
COLUMBUS - Heritage breeds of poultry will be on display July 27-31 at the Ohio State Fair Poultry Building.
A “heritage breed” is defined as one which was recognized by the American Poultry Association (APA) prior to the 20th century. Breeds come in a variety of sizes and colors, and each display will have a placard explaining its history and purpose.
Displays will consist of hundreds of birds shown by Ohio exhibitors. These historic breeds will compete for prizes and championships.
