It’s full steam ahead for the 42nd Annual Power Show Ohio, one of Columbus' largest annual events, opening on Friday, January 27.

The show features tractors, skid steer loaders, commercial mowing equipment, all terrain vehicles, grain handling, fencing, hay equipment, buildings, backhoes, logging equipment, compact tractors, livestock equipment plus a number of lifestyle items. In full, more than 600 brands of equipment and supplies will be showcased within four buildings (300,000 square feet) at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus.

Visitors can also enjoy special daily educational seminars from varying topics including the shale gas boom (10 am daily), aquaculture, beekeeping, bioenergy crops, fruit and vegetable marketing, child labor regulations and farm machinery regulations. Details on the sessions can be found at www.omeda.org/powershow.

In addition, guests will learn new recipes at the Ohio Proud cooking demonstrations and can be entertained by the renowned National Kiddie Tractor Pull, a pedal tractor competition for boys and girls 3 to 8 years of age.

In these trying economic times, it is more important than ever that we provide information and products to help farmers farm smarter and as efficiently as possible. Exhibitors at Power Show Ohio understand the importance of giving their customers the products and services that will allow them to do just that. Regardless of what type of business you are in, if you need power equipment, you cannot afford to miss this show. Quality equipment, useful information and technology equals smart business!

This year there is a simplified admission policy; admission is just $10 for the carload, or $8 with a discount coupon available from equipment dealers throughout Ohio when the coupon is presented at the gate. Pay when you park and that is it - no more fumbling for ticket stubs as you move between the buildings. Park and enjoy the show! Ticket stubs will no longer be required for admittance from building to building.

The 42nd Annual Power Show Ohio opens its doors January 27 and runs through January 29 in Columbus, Ohio. The show is open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.  Power Show Ohio is held at the Ohio Expo Center just off Interstate 71 at Exit 111.
