The Ohio State Fair promises more bang for the fairgoer’s buck. Today, NBC4 Family Value Day is providing visitors with even more ways to save.

Until 6 pm, adults will be admitted for the kids’ admission price of $8, and kids 12 and under will be admitted free. With the purchase of one wristband, a second rider can ride free until 6 pm with a hand stamp.

Those who aren’t able to visit the Fair today can still take advantage of other deals and discounts. Tickets are only $6 at Kroger, participating AAA locations with AAA membership and Ticketmaster outlets through Aug. 5. Printer-friendly vendor coupons can be downloaded from ohiostatefair.com prior to visiting the Fair for discounts on everything from food to merchandise.

The Fair also offers a variety of free entertainment. There will be free live music daily at various locations across the grounds with genres ranging from bluegrass and gospel, to country and pop.

There are also free educational activities at the Fair. Families can visit the Agriculture is Cool interactive education stations where they are able to milk a real cow, compare their weight to animals, spin wool and more. As a bonus, exiting fourth grade students and one chaperone can attend the Fair for free any one day July 25 through Aug. 5 to enjoy the Ag is Cool program by presenting a valid report card at the entrance gates.

No matter how families choose to spend the day, the Ohio State Fair is sure to supply hours of entertainment for only the price of admission. For one last way to save, text FAIR to 82672 for exclusive text-only discounts.

NBC4 Family Value Day is available on Monday, July 30, 2012 only. All special days and discounts are not valid with other offers.
