Hands-on stations allow you to milk a real cow, learn about bacteria and food safety, compare your weight to animals, spin wool and much more. Exiting fourth grade studentsand a chaperone can get free admission valid for any one day of the Fair simpy by bringing their valid report card to the entrance gates; fourth grade teachers can get a free admission voucher online

This highly interactive exhibit is packed with interesting activities and games the whole family can enjoy. Young children will enjoy driving pedal farm tractors and families can record their State Fair memories with a free photograph before leaving the exhibit.

Monster Mural, Central Park

Kids jump at the chance to make their artistic mark on a giant Fair mural each day. Grab some complimentary waterproof paint and help create a masterpiece.

Sea Lion Splash presented by The CW NEW!

Watch as these sea lions and their handlers perform amazing tricks in this educational, family-friendly show. When they aren’t performing, the sea lions are blowing bubbles and playing with their toys in the underwater viewing tank.

Fairgoers of all ages will enjoy hands-on experiments and activities such as building rubber band powered rockets, racing air-powered dragsters, experiencing TV green screen technology, building with PVC pipes and more.

Ohio State Fair 5K

Experience the Ohio State Fair from end to end as you walk or jog your way past rides and animals at one of the most unique 5K routes you’ll find! 50 Year Club meeting

The 17th Annual Pork Rib-Off returns to the Ohio State Fair with teams across the state competing to be honored for the best ribs, pulled pork and barbecue sauce in the state. After celebrity judges have sampled the food, fairgoers will be able to enjoy free samples and cast their vote for People’s Choice Award.

Children ages 3 through 8 will hop on one-tenth scale pedal tractors and pull a weight transfer sled 30 feet in this exciting annual tradition. The finalists in each age class are invited to pull at the Grand National Tractor Pull in January 2014 at Power Show Ohio.

Throughout the 2012-2013 season, the top three winners from each gender and age group at 32 different competitions throughout the state have qualified to come to the final statewide championship kicking off at 4 p.m. in the ShowPlace Pavilion. At the end of the day, the top three in each class will qualify and be invited to the National Kiddy Pedal Tractor Pulling Championship held in September at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota.
4-H & American Welding Society Careers in Welding Trailer
