The famed American funk band is best known for their 1980 No. 1 R&B hit, “Fantastic Voyage,” although they have a longstanding successful career. Their nine albums were released from 1977 through 1990, and they’ve been recognized by Billboard. Although the band has included a number of members over the decades, currently the lineup includes Thomas Shelby (vocals), Norman Beavers (keyboard), Marvin Craig (bass guitar), Fred Lewis (percussion), Otis Stokes (guitars, bass, lead vocals), and Fred Alexander Jr. (drums).

Con Funk Shun is a star-quality attraction delivering a superb, high-energy show with electrifying choreography, glistening six-part vocal harmonies, and a dash of humor. They are, unquestionably, among the heroes of Funk with romantic ballads and dance-party hits galore. They have had multiple Gold status albums and LPs, and their hits remain on radio playlists today. Recent appearances include Tokyo’s, Billboard Live, Cashe Creek casino Resort, Cobo St. Life Lux Jazz Festival, Yoshi’s Oakland Ca., and the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage Cruise 2021.
