What do past interns say about this experience?
"This summer I had the opportunity to work in the Concessions & Relations department at the Ohio State Expo & Fairgrounds. I had the ability to learn about all things vendor and concessionaire, but it didn't stop there. Due to the 3-year construction project ending, I was able to do several walk-throughs and learn about various aspects of the construction process. Additionally, I was given the opportunity to start the Great Ohio Fair Food Showdown, which brought leaders in the community and concessionaires together in a new food competition. Planning and executing that event was one of the highlights of my summer, and showing appreciation to concessionaires made all of the work worthwhile. Lastly, I became knowledgeable on all-things Ohio State Fair, and developed positive relationships with vendors, concessionaires, and coworkers. This internship helped me to gain experience with hospitality, logistics, large-scale event operations, and most importantly I got to spend the summer working with the kindest people. I am so glad I had the Concession and Vendor Relations internship, and I hope I've inspired you to apply!"
