Youth Organizations

Youth organizations can be found each day of the Fair in the Lausche Youth Exploration Space. In 2023, the Lausche Youth Exploration Space will be space themed. Focusing on the sharing more information about space including the importance of the aeronautics/aerospace industry not only in the U.S., but right here in Ohio. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about space-related careers, as well as participate in hands-on and interactive space-related activities. The space-themed building passport will encourage fairgoers to visit the different exhibits within the building. Passports can be picked up at the Guest Information Services booth and, once completed, turned in at the same place for a chance to spin the prize wheel and claim a prize.

COSI - Center Of Science and Industry

COSI will be working with partners from all over Ohio related to the aerospace/aeronautics industry. COSI will be doing space themed hands-on demonstrations and Make-N-Take projects throughout the Fair.

Boy Scouts

A variety of hands-on scout related activities will be available for Cub Scouts (5-10 years), Scouts BSA (11-18), Venturing (14-21), Sea Scouts (14-21) and Exploring (14-21) age youth. Build a Lego Pinewood Derby car and race it down the track to the finish line or participate in a game of GaGa ball. Information will also be available about the how youth and adults can get involved in the Boy Scouts of America.

Challenge your friends to life size connect four, checkers Uno, tic-tac-toe, and more.

Girl Scouts

At the Girl Scouts booth, everyone will be able to learn what it’s like to be a Girl Scout (and beyond!). Visitors will be able to shoot for the stars while perfecting their archery skills, solve engineering problems at mission control, and roam outer space with our Lego robots. Girl Scouts will also have cookies for sale throughout the Ohio State Fair so cookie lovers can get a mid-year resupply of their favorites!


Library Reading Nook

Spend some time checking out the collection of books from the State Library of Ohio in our comfy Library Reading Nook area.

Ohio Department of Education

Join the Ohio Department of Education for some hands-on fun! Visitors of all ages can explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, the arts and math (STEAM) and learn how these fields are shaping the world we live in. Don’t miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the endless possibilities of STEAM.

Ohio Department of Higher Education

The Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) is the state agency that oversees higher education for the state. This includes authorizing and approving new degree programs, managing state-funded financial aid programs, and developing and advocating policies to maximize higher education’s contributions to the state and its citizens. There will be a variety of opportunities and resources related to higher education available at their booth during the Fair.

Tiny Town presented by AAA

Come join us at Tiny Town presented by AAA filled with playhouses, Cozy Coupes, and play gas pumps. Kids can enjoy some play time while the adults relax!


OSU Phun with Physics

OSU Physics space will be dedicated to hands-on science activities led by OSU scientists. Activities will include a table on “Light, Color, and the Stars,” a table on “Sound and Waves,” our special “Electric Bicycle” and “The Spinning Barf Wheel of Science." Several times throughout the day, a science show will be presented by an OSU scientist with an interactive component with opportunities for audience participation.
