Located in Venedocia in Van Wert County, Dustin is a farmer using conservation practices in the field, such as cover crops ahead of corn and soybeans. Dustin is farming closely with his grandfather, who is 100% behind the new practices that Dustin is implementing on the farm.
He has adopted mostly no-till with some reduced tillage and tried some strip till. Dustin has a young family that helps him in the fields and also in the swine barn. Dustin uses responsible manure and nutrient applications while using cover crops to help manure absorption. He is always open to trying new things on the farm and working with his local retailer to make sure these practices work for him and surrounding farms.
