Sammy Kershaw Concert Replacement

Due to illness, Sammy Kershaw is unable to perform for the third consecutive night, resulting in his inability to perform at the Ohio State Fair on Sunday, Aug. 2. Sammy cancelled or rescheduled shows at both the Delaware State Fair (July 31) and in Huntsville, Alabama (Aug. 2).

Country music star Aaron Tippin will now be headlining in Sammy’s place. Tippin is known for his working-class anthems and traditional honky-tonk sound, including hits like "There Ain't Nothin' Wrong with the Radio" and "Kiss This."

Any tickets for the Aug. 2 concert, originally featuring for Sammy Kershaw, will automatically be valid for the concert on the same date now featuring Aaron Tippin. However, ticket holders who do not wish to attend the revised concert are eligible for refunds.

Can I use my ticket to see Aaron Tippin?

Yes! Tickets originally purchased for the Aug. 2 Sammy Kershaw concert are automatically valid for the Aug. 2 concert now headlined by Aaron Tippin.

If I do not want to see the Aaron Tippin concert, how do I get my refund?

Those who originally purchased tickets from Tickemaster.com will automatically receive an email notifying them of the refund options. Your refund will be able to be issued as long as you do not scan your concert ticket to enter the WCOL Celeste Center for the concert. Your ticket may be scanned to gain admission to the Ohio State Fair. Refunds will include the retail ticket price and service fees. Refunds must be requested by Sunday, Aug. 9, the final day of the 2026 Ohio State Fair.

Can I still come to the Fair?

Yes! Those who purchased tickets can still attend the Ohio State Fair with their concert ticket(s) on the day of the show. As long as the concert ticket is not scanned at the WCOL Celeste Center concert venue, a refund can be issued. If you are continuing to attend the concert, your ticket still includes Fair admission and can be scanned at the gate for entry.

What if I bought verified resale tickets from Ticketmaster?

If you purchased a verified resale ticket through Ticketmaster and are interested in a refund rather than attending the show, you will receive a notification explaining any refund and/or credit options available to you.

If you are not interested in attending the revised concert and purchased a resale ticket from some other source (i.e., not through Ticketmaster), and that ticket was then transferred to you, you will need to reach out to your original point of purchase for any refund and/or credit options, if available.
