Draft Ponies / Haflingers

Draft Ponies – General Rules

  1. For dress code and special hitch rules refer to general rules and regulations at the beginning of the Draft Horse Division.
  2. A Draft Pony, as advised by the HHPCS director, is a scaled-down version of the established Draft Horse breeds, such as, but not limited to, Belgian, Percheron, Clydesdale, Shire, Suffolk, American Cream, and Spotted Draft. While maintaining the key confirmation characteristics of a draft horse, the primary distinguishing feature of a Draft Pony is its smaller size. Notably, color is not a determining factor in breed standards and should not be a point of discrimination.
  3. Any grievances in the Draft Pony classes based on Draft Pony characteristics will be deferred to the HHPCS if show management deems necessary.
